Welcome to the September edition of Optima Daily. As we transition into the fall season, we are looking forward to Labour Day celebrations and Fall Open Houses across our communities. We hope these occasions provide meaningful opportunities to connect with one another and explore our growing communities.
We would also like to acknowledge World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21 and reaffirm our commitment to fostering brain health awareness. Later this month, we will also observe Truth and Reconciliation Day. We invite you to join us in reflecting on our shared commitment to understanding, respect, and reconciliation.

Dear Silverleaf Community Members,
Thank you so much for your incredible engagement and participation in our recent Silverleaf Community BBQ! It was wonderful to see so many community members and their families come together, connect, and enjoy such a joyful afternoon.
I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to our dedicated Silverleaf leadership team for organizing such a memorable event. A great deal of time, effort, and teamwork went into the planning and execution, and we are truly grateful for everything they did to make the BBQ such a success
We are delighted to share that this was the largest community event Silverleaf has hosted to date in terms of participation and attendance. This would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and support of all of you—our wonderful community members. Thank you for helping make Silverleaf such a welcoming and connected community!
Important Opening Update
As operational preparations are still underway, we would like to provide you with an update regarding our opening timeline. The opening for Type A and Type B has been delayed, and we are now anticipating our first admissions at Silverleaf on September 8, 2026
We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as our team continues to work diligently to ensure we are fully prepared to welcome our first residents
🌿 Silverleaf Open House – September 19
We are also excited to announce that Silverleaf will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
We will be welcoming members of the Calgary community to visit Silverleaf, enjoy walking tours, and discover everything our community has to offer.
To help make this event a success, we are looking for 3–4 residents who would be interested in volunteering as Resident Ambassadors. Volunteers will assist at the welcome desk, help with tours, and engage with our visitors throughout the event.
If you or a loved one would like to volunteer, please connect with our Assistant General Manager, Lesley McCartney, or speak with our Concierge Team at reception.
